Our Mission is to spread joy and happiness through music and art.
At its core, The People’s Banana is intended to be a project for all. The friends and community of The People’s Banana is comprised of a wide range of people, many from marginalized groups. We hope to reflect our community and values in our operations, making it easier for all to exist happily and safely in this world.
The team has volunteered time to other organizations doing good in the world, as a way to say thank you for money raised, and will continue to do so. We hope to have positive impact wherever we go, bringing with us joy, laughter, equality, and a damned good time.

In 2021, The Banana is created by a group of fun loving dreamers.
In September 2022, the Banana attends Burning Man for the first time.
In May 2023, The Banana attends Lightning In A Bottle with a skeleton crew. Throws down at renegade nights, amassing buzz from wild crowds losing their minds on the dance floors.
In August 2023, The People’s Banana is established as a 501(c)3 organization, commited to our values of creativity, inclusivity, and community, and to doing good in the world.
In September 2023, the Banana attends Burning Man a second time, as the official star of a large camp.
In May 2024, look for the glowing 30-foot People's Banana and listen for 25,000 watts of Face Melting Bass once again at Lightning In A Bottle.
